The Night a Stranger on Cam Knew My Exact Street
Okay, I’m still not sure how to feel about this one, so I’m writing it here because you people are the only ones who won’t judge.
It was around 2 AM, dead quiet, nothing good matching. I was about to call it when a girl popped up, hair pulled back, hoodie, sitting cross-legged on her bed. We did the usual “hey,” the weird pause, then she just stared at my arm and said, “Wait. Is that the anchor from the mall tattoo shop on the third floor?”
I froze. Because it was. I got it there two summers ago, drunk, during a music festival. She laughed and said she was the one who told me the anchor was sideways while I argued it wasn’t. I did not remember her face at all, but I very much remembered losing that argument.
For the next forty minutes we did not talk about anything spicy. We talked about the festival, the bad pierogi stand, the guy who fell off the stage. Then she goes quiet, looks at the camera in a way that made me sit up, and says “small world. Anyway, want to make it weird?”

We never exchanged names, on purpose, which somehow made the whole thing hotter. She unmatched at the end with “see you at the mall,” and I have genuinely avoided the third floor ever since. If she reads this — my bad about the anchor, you were right, and yes I’d do it again.
